      • Healthcare and education services can't cope with rapid increase in population so not everyone has access to them

      • Aren't enough houses leading to people making makeshift houses in overcrowded settlements
    • Political
      • Most of population is young so gov. focus on policies important to young people
      • Fewer old people so gov. don't have to focus on policies for them
      • Policies made to control birth rate so impacts don't worsen
    • Economic
      • Increased poverty due to more people being born into families that are already poor
      • Not enough jobs for so unemployment increases
