  • Hydraulics
    • Liquids are incompressible
      • A force thats applied at one point will be transmitted in all directirons
    • In liquids their pressure and volume stays the same
      • When pressure is put on a liquid its transmitted in all directions
    • Pressure = force / cross sectional area
      • Pressure is measured in Pascals (Pa)
      • Force is measured in Newtons (N)
    • Hydraulic systems are used as force multipliers
      • Small forces are used to produce a bigger force
      • When the surface area increases  and the pressure stays the same. the force thats exerted will be larger
    • Hydraulics uses:
      • Car braking systems
      • Hydraulic car jacks
      • Etc
