  • Human life
    • Samsara
      • The continuous cycle of birth, death and rebirth
      • The body becomes different at rebirth, but the atman remains the same
      • The movement of the atman from one body to another is called transmigration
    • Moksha
      • A person's aim in life is to escape the continuous cycle and reach moksha or salvation and union with God
    • Karma
      • This is the belief that all one's actions have consequences
      • If Hindus do good in order to receive rewards, they will never reach moksha.
        • They must do all good deeds without any thought of personal reward; it is their dharma
      • Hindus meditate and make offerings to their chosen god, praying for selfishness
