- How does a meander turn into an oxe bow lake?
- STAGE 1
- Erosion and deposition work together and at the same time
- Abrasion, attrition and hydraulic action happens because of the fast flowing water
- STAGE 2
- Rocks and stone build up from deposition
- Erosion on the outside. The neck then starts to narrow and built up with rocks by deposition
- STAGE 3
- The lake is now on it's own
- As the water flow, lakes pick up rocks which are then deposited around the neck of meander build up. overtime it makes closure and cuts off the river forming an OX BOW LAKE
- STAGE 1
