- Homeostasis- Negative and positive feedback
- Homeostasis- Is the maintenance of the internal environment at a constant state despite external changes
- Negative feedback is the reversal of any change in conditions in order to maintain optimum conditions
- Positive feedback is a process whereby any change detected by receptors is increased further away from optimum conditions. This does NOT lead to homeostasis
- E.g. The dilation of the cervix at the end of pregnancy
- Positive feedback is a process whereby any change detected by receptors is increased further away from optimum conditions. This does NOT lead to homeostasis
- E.g. The dilation of the cervix at the end of pregnancy
