      • Too structured
    • Motor Car
      • Improved wages made it more affordable
      • 1963 - 7.5 million registed cars
      • Beeching Axe 1963 closed 5000 miles of railway line - increased car usage
      • Seaside resorts- hotels and guesthouses needed car parks
      • Roadside cafes and Motels appeared - Little Chef 1958
      • Used for daytrips
      • Overcrowded roads (Coast, towns, resorts) - More roads (e.g Bypasses) built
    • National Parks
      • National Parks and Access to the countryside act 1949
        • Conserve natural beauty, wildlife and heritage & promote public enjoyment
      • 10 national parks set up in the 50's
      • Car ownership and activities (e.g watersports) improved tourism
      • e.g Snowdonia - Largest National park
