  • Heart Chambers
    • The left Ventricle: this recieves oxygenated blood from the left atrium and pumps it to the aorta through the aortic valve. it is three times thicker than the right ventricle
    • The right Ventricle: this receives deoxygenated blood from the right atrium and pumps it into the pulmonary valve via the pulmonary valve and pulmonary trunk
    • The right atrium:  receives deoxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cavae as well as the coronary sinus and the anterior and smallest cardiac veins. it then pumps it into the right ventricle through the tricuspid valve
