    • Cleanliness
      • Clean floors are not only more hygienic but they reduce risks of injury
    • Size
      • Needs to be appropriate for the age and number of pupils or genre
    • Lighting
      • Artificial
        • Altered by dimmer switch, number of lights or wattage
      • Natural
        • Altered by curtains or blinds
    • Equipment
      • Mirrors, matts and barres can all be distractions and tripping hazards
    • Furniture
      • Free standing appliances should be wall mounted to reduce risk of injury
    • Floor space
      • Should be clear, sprung and even to avoid injury
    • Noise
      • Music, Pupils and AC can be a distraction to pupils causing injury
    • Ventilation
      • 18-21 degrees is the optimum studio temperature
        • Can be regulated by AC, windows or fans
