- Growth is an increase in size, length or mass.
- You can measure growth in three ways:
- 1. Size:You can measure an organisms height, length, width or circumference.
- 2. Wet mass: The mass of an organism depends on how much water it has gained or lost. The wet mass of an organism is its mass including all the water in its body. This can vary from one day to the next.
- 3. Dry mass: The mass of an organism with no water in its body. You can weight the dry mass of the organism once it is dead.
