  • Groups vulnerable to unemployment
    • Young people; people who do not achieve high levels in education are the ones who will find it hard to gain a job later on in life. the government has brought up a new scheme that helps young people find a job. 'New Deal' scheme
    • Ethnic minorities; Black Caribbean men are twice as likely to be unemployed then a white man. Some ethnics might suffer from discrimination, discrimination is the unfair treatment of a person or group based on the basis of discriminating not hiring someone as they are black and not white.
    • Disabled; if you are disabled then you might find it hard to work to the level of someone else with the same qualifications.also if you are not cable of working e.g., in a wheelchair you are limited to what work you can do.
    • Lone parents; The cost of childcare can be very expensive and only have one parent that works means that you will not be able to afford the child care.
    • People of 50 years old; due to age discrimination, it becomes very difficult to find a job that is easy to find. the lack of up-to-date qualifications can put them back and also they might not be fit to work in some environments without putting strain on themselves.
