- ADVANTAGES:
- Wide range of views on a topic
- Individuals may be recruited to take part in single interviews.
- Individuals may feel more comfortable sharing their experiences as the members of the group are supportive.
- DISADVANTAGES:
- Need to be carefully managed, especially when it is a sensitive topic.
- Interviewees may be influenced by eachother; there may be a prominent voice meaning others wont be heard as much.
- The researcher cannot confirm confidentiality within a group interview like in a individual interview.
