    • Justification by works.
      • "Show me you faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds" James 2:14-26
      • "You see that that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did" James 2:14-26
      • If someone claims to have faith but has no deeds to show it, it is useless-actions speak louder than words.
        • The main scholar is James.
        • Even demons have faith in God so your destination after death must be justified by works.
    • Justification by Faith.
      • "This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe" Romans 3-5
      • "The promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace" Romans 4
      • If justification came just from people's works, we would all be judged guilty by God.
        • If you have faith in God you will go to heaven.
        • The main scholars are St. Paul and Martin Luther.
