- GOD IS EVERLASTING
- god is in time and therefore can act and respond
- god exists without and end but time passes for god (this does not decrease his power)
- Swinburne: is there a god? - this view is more fitting with the God presented in the bible and overcomes the issue of events happening simultaneously.
- Nicholas Wolterstorff: in order to understand the way god acts (as seen in the bible) we must see him as acting freely in response to human behaviour suggesting that god's actions involve the passing of time.
- it may only be possible to see god as a saviour and figure worth worshiping if he is everlasting as this allows him to bring about events within time.
- god is in time and therefore can act and respond
