- Genetic disorder caused by the cell membrane- lots of mucusin air passages and in the pancreas
- Caused by the recessive allele
- People with only one copy of the allele wont have the disorder- carriers
- For a child to have the diorder, both parents must be carriers or sufferers
- 1 in 4 chance of a child having the disorder if both parents are carriers
