        • skelton found the feminism of teaching does not negatively impact male achievement with much significance
          • primary socialisation of male behaviour is reinforced by secondary socialisation

        • outline- Equal numbers of men and women are in full time employment, and more women are seeked for managerial jobs
          • impact of achievement- girls are more motivated to work hard as there is more to their future than being  housewife
            • evaluation-Feminist's argue that this is a great step to greater equality of the sexes however men now see themselves as having no future as less opportunities for them

          • impact on achievement- helps girls see that women are tough and have a say in society, and are able to do whatever career they choose

        • outline- SHARPE ambitions of girls in 1970- marriage and children, 1990- career and family later on.
          • impact of achievement- more options than just having a family so girls are more motivated
            • evaluation - larger workforce

        • outline- women are more likely to take on the role breadwinner due to increased divorce and lone parent families
          • impact of achievement- careers are now normal for women
            • evaluation-families don't need to be nuclear to function efficiently
