  • Balanced and Unbalanced
    • If the arrows on a force diagram are equal, the force is balanced.
      • If the forces are balanced, the object is either stationary or continuing to move at a steady speed.

        • We measure the weight of a force in newtons (N)
        • To calculate the moment of a force you times the force by the distance from the pivot.

        • There are different types of forces however all of them are either push or pull.
      • Centre of mass
        • The only place where an object can be balanced on a point
    • If the arrows on a force diagram are different sizes/lengths, the force is unbalanced.
      • If forces are unbalanced, the object is either, stationary and starting to move or changing speed.
