- Spreads from bites of infected mosquitoes
- SYMPTOMS
- Genital Swelling
- Elephantiasis

- DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
- PRIMARY: Identification of microfilariae in blood through blood test
- SECONDARY: ICT Filariasis Test (a rapid form of antigen test)
- TREATMENT AND CURE
- Diethylcarbamazine (DEL) - 12 day treatment
- Ivermectin- kills only microfilariae
- Lymphadema thearapists
- Doxycline- kills adult worms
