    • liberal, neither males nor females benefit from the gender equalities
    • marxist, patriarchy is also the problem as men have all the power, overthrow of capitalism, capitalism is more damaging and exploitative for women
    • radical, patriarchy is the source of all our discontents in society, men are the major part of the problem of inequality, family is an exploitative intuition, family ideology is forced on people
  • evaluation of feminism
    • strengths: explains continued gender inequalities, gendered socialization, practical and policy solutions, acknowledges the ways, experience other forms of oppression
    • weaknesses: fails to address male oppressions, assume all women feel opressed, fail to acknowledge the improvements, ignore inequalities of other dimensions (class/ ethnicity)
