      • Normal family type was the extended family
        • Huge amounts of children due to infant mortality rate
        • More children they had they more resources produced
      • Men and children would work on farms (agriculture)
      • Women were the expressive role
    • Modern Britain
      • Isn't a normal family type
        • More diversity
      • Parental roles were net-conventional;no instrumental role or expressive
      • International jobs such as working form home
