  • External factors that affect our color sensations
    • simultaneous color contrast: changes in hue that occur when a colored stimulus is displayed on backgrounds of various colors
    • colour blindness: inability to perceive colors - lack of cones or cones dont function properly
    • color weakness: inability to distinguish some colors - usually carried forward by X chromosome - women have 2 so even if one is defective, they are not weak, but their sons might inherit this color weakness
