- the act of deliberately ending a person's life to relieve suffering.
- Assisted Suicide
- is the act of deliberately assisting or encouraging another person to kill themselves.
- Active Euthanasia
- This means that positive steps are taken to end your life. You are given something on purpose which will bring your life to an end.
- Passive Euthanasia
- Here something is not done which will ultimately lead to your death. For example, medicines may be withheld or life support machine switched off.
