      • Long-term health effects can include lung cancer, heart disease and even damage to the brain, nerves, liver or kidneys
      • If water becomes contaminated or polluted certain diseases can occur such as typhoid fever
      • Noise pollution disturbs our health and behavior in a number of ways inc. deafness, lack of sleep, irritability

          • Great distance from shops, health services - reduced physical activity driving more
          • Problems accessing services - only making appointments when they are already quite ill

        • Disadvantage
          • Cities are associated with high cost living. Houses tend to be smaller and more expensive
          • Noise levels can be very unpleasant leading to stress, not being able to sleep...
          • High crime areas- higher risk of assault or injury
