        • Aid given by international organisations instead of just one country
          • E.g. World Bank
      • Advantages
        • Aid saves lives!
        • Aid helps rebuild people livelihoods
          • It also offers jobs, etc, to people of the community
        • The provision of aid, such as machines, education and equipment can improve people's quality of live
          • Aid can provide clean water supplies, which can improve the quality of life of some people
        • Aid for agriculture - food population increases and there are improvements of food quantity and quality
      • Disadvantages
        • Aid can icrease the LEDC's want of support from MEDC's
        • Aid isn't always there / it can't always be given
        • Aid can be used to put political or economic pressure on a country
        • Some development projects may lead to water and food costing more money

        • Is the gap in income between the countries richest people and poorest people
    • Human Development Indicators
      • Life Expectancy
        • The average age a person lives in a country
      • Infant Mortallity Rate
        • Counts the number of babies, per 1000 births, die under the age of one
      • Male/Female Equality
        • Compares statistics such as literacy rates and employement between the sexes
      • Literacy Rate
        • The percentage of adults who can read and write
