- if the disciples can't do this when Jesus is with them how hard must it be now
- if it is difficult to believe prayer leads to faith miracles - need a lot of faith to believe in prayer, hard teaching as how can the disciples be so lacking in faith

- command you come out, disciples ask why couldn't drive out demon, Jesus said only faith can do this
