      • Communists wanted everything to be fair so all businesses and ownership was owned by the government
      • Capitalists believed in free enterprise, where people could own their own businesses and keep the majoirty of profits
    • Political differences
      • Capitalists had a democracy
      • Communists had a one party dictatorship
    • International relations
      • Communists believed that if communism was to succedd then they would need to collapse capitalism so created Comintern in 1919 to coordinate communists groups to help undermine capitalism
      • In 1918, Wilson (US President) issued his fourteen poitns that presented an ideological framework for international relations, highlighting that the US had a moral duty to spread its ideas
