- during training the athlete needs to keep dehydrate and eat a balanced diet
- 1-2 days before a race the athletes must stop the intense training
- In the 1-2 days before the race the athlet must carbo load.
- Carbo loading if eating carbs to restore the energy levels in there muscles
- On race day the athelete must drink alot of water have a small breackfast so they are not bloated
- In the rcae the athletes get special drink that have carbourhydrate in it to get glucose and energy to muscles
