- Aim - Challenge piagets findings.
- Participants - 252 children ages 5-8 from Devon
- Method - Split into age (5,6,7,8)/ Split into 1Q/2Q/Fixed array and each partake in mass,volume and number
- Results - Older = less errors/number - easiest/ volume - hardest/ 1q- least errors
- Conclusion - Prove piaget wrong as 2Q condition (standard) confused the children but proved him right with his theory of age and number making least errors
- Bandura
- Aim - imitation of aggression in children
- Participants - 36 boys + 36 girls mean age 52 months
- Method - Groups = Agg model, Non Agg model + Control group/ Room 1 - See model/ Room 2 - mild aggression arousal/ Room 3 - Observation
- Results - Agg model condition = more agg response/ boys more physical agg/ male model = more influential/ "that is not a way for a lady to behave"
- Conclusion -Children learn social behaviour through observation
