  • Descriptive Statistics
    • Bar Charts
      • show data in the form of categories to be compared
      • gap between the bars – this indicates that the data is discrete rather than continuous.
      • can also display 2 values together
    • Histograms
      • used for continuous data
      • The continuous scores are placed along the x axis (horizontal) while the frequency of these scores is shown on the y axis (vertical)
      • There are no spaces between the bars as data are continuous
      • the column width for the value on the x axis should be the same width per equal category interval.
    • Tables
      • Tables are used to summarise data
