  • Density
    • equations
      • density = mass/volume
      • to get the volume of a irregular shaped object, you can uses a displacement can.
      • volume =  base x width x height
    • what is the density of an object?
      • density is a measure of how much mass there is in an object per unit volume
      • it is measured in:g/cm(cubed)
    • example
      • if an object had  a mass of 20 g and a volume of 2 cm(cubed). what is the density
        • density = M/V = 20/2 = 10g/cm(cubed)
      • if an object had a density of 13 g/cm(cubed) and a volume  of 4cm(cubed). what is the mass
        • mass= density x volume= 13x4= 52 g
