      • Known for mishandling war debts and calling an election which led to the loss of office. Did communicate effectively against LG though.
    • Reasons for Conservative victory
      • Not a vote of confidence in Baldwin as much as concerns about increased socialism. Especially after Liberals split from Labour, female voters
      • Mixture of hostility towards trade unions but intervention of state. Rent, agriculture wages protected, radio & rail (4 companies)  kept relatively public
