    • Ethical and Cultural Issues
      • Ethical- issues that are either considered right or wrong by society
        • Digital divide is cause by technology - between countries and counties as they are expensive and mean it is harder to look for jobs or apply for university without the internet
          • Cultural- issues that effect groups of people e.g. ethinic groups, and religions
            • Techonology has shaped our culture to be more self-obsessed
            • Business' use technology as a platform to advertise

      • Stakeholders:   groups or individuals who have an interest or are affected by  a scenario like new technology
        • This includes the government because of the legislation behind it
        • Owners/ company's are also included as they could lose or gain money
        • Individuals are stakeholders as they could lose thier job or be the interested party in the product
      • Privacy
        • Social Media  - encourages you to post about your personal life e.g. alerts people when it is your birthday
        • privacy agreements are found everywhere however people dont actually read them they just accept
        • You can lose your privacy if a company you trusted leaks your information or sells it on
      • with phones being very common people cannot be switched of from their work- this can create stress
        • Social interaction is less common as people are always online they are now ignoring real-life

          • E-waste: technology has a short life (2 years ish) and is often upgraded so is all thrown away
            • Retailers and manufacturers are partly to blame with short warranties where it is cheaper to replace not repair
          • Energy = global warming/ pollution unless renewable
          • Raw materials and natural resources are put in electronic devices, extracted uses energy
