- Agility
- the ability to change the body's direction efficiently and under control
- requires good body strength, fast reactions, balance and coordination of muscle actions
- e.g. side step in rugby
- Balance
- a state of stability or equilibrium achieved by keeping the centre of mass over the base of support
- e.g. handstand in gymnastics (static) and a slalom skier (dynamic)
- Coordination
- a balanced and effective interaction of movements or body actions
- e.g. maintaining contact between stick and ball when dribbling in hockey
- Reaction time
- the time taken from the start of the stimulus to the start of the response
- e.g. sprinter starts on the sound of the gun
- Agility
