  • Circuits and Resistors
    • Current is the flow of charge
      • Current is measured in amps
    • Voltage is the force that pushes the current around the circuit
      • Voltage is measured in volts
    • Resistance is something that reduces the current
      • Resistance is measured in ohms
      • It is caused by collisions in a conductor
        • Electrons collide with atoms which causes resistance
        • The collisions cause the atoms to vibrate, so they collide more often with the electrons
    • A variable resistor can have its resistance changed
      • You can control the current in a circuit by adjusting the resistance
      • Longer wires have more resistance, as they have more atoms colliding with the electrons
