- Voltage is the force that pushes the current around the circuit

- It is caused by collisions in a conductor
- Electrons collide with atoms which causes resistance
- The collisions cause the atoms to vibrate, so they collide more often with the electrons
- A variable resistor can have its resistance changed
- You can control the current in a circuit by adjusting the resistance
- Longer wires have more resistance, as they have more atoms colliding with the electrons
