    • All Christians oppose the practice of euthanasia
    • Most Christians (including Roman Catholics) accept that doctors should be allowed to give lots of pain killing drugs even if they know it is shortening the patient's life
      • They also believe that expensive treatments need not be carried out to lengthen the lives of dying patients
    • Some Christians do not agree with switching off life support machines
    • They believe in the sanctity of life
    • Any form of euthanasia is regarded at murder
    • It is up to medical professionals to determine when death has occured
    • Christians support the hospice movement  to give patients a good quality of life until the end (palliative care)
