                • This quote is from The Story of Moses.
                  • The Bible says that when Moses was 80, he was living peacefully as a shepherd in the desert. One day, as he was tending his flock, he heard the voice of God coming from a burning bush.
                    • God ordered Moses to go and force the Pharaoh to let his Hebrew people go. At first Moses was afraid, he didn't think he could do this. Then God gave him special powers.

                • This demonstrates the grace of God and that god loves us even though we may not deserve it due to the Original sin.
      • The Trinity
        • God is the Holy Spirit and is the father to Jesus who is his son.
    • Creation
      • Genesis Creation Story 1
        • Day 1 - God created light and separated the light from the darkness, calling light "day" and darkness "night."
          • Day 2 - God created an expanse to separate the waters and called it "sky."
            • Day 3 - God created the dry ground and gathered the waters, calling the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters "seas." On day three, God also created vegetation (plants and trees).
              • Day 4 - God created the sun, moon, and the stars to give light to the earth and to govern and separate the day and the night. These would also serve as signs to mark seasons, days, and years.
                • Day 5 - God created every living creature of the seas and every winged bird, blessing them to multiply and fill the waters and the sky with life.
                  • Day 6- God created fish in the sea, and birds in the sky and filled the world with animals, livestock and living creatures including humans which he made in his own image.
                    • Day 7- God was done with his creation as used the last day as a day of rest.
      • Genesis Creation Story 2
        • The second Genesis Creation Story is similar to the first one except that Humans are made on the second day which is earlier and then the humans get put into the Garden of Eden to own the animals and livestock.
      • Genesis Creation Story 3
        • Leading on from the second story, the third is about the original sin done by Adam and Eve when they eat from the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil even though God tells them not to. The serpents persuade Eve who then persuades Adam. However, They all get punished for this.
    • Jesus Christ

    • Salvation
      • Human sinfulness separates us from God. Christians believe that Jesus' death on the cross allowed them the hope of salvation. Jesus' vicarious suffering paid for human sin and that it could be wiped away in the afterlife so that believers could go to heaven.
        • Grace and the spirit
          • In order to help them live a good life, Christians believe that God sends the Holy Spirit to bring grace.
          • Acts 2:1-6
    • The afterlife
      • Eschatology refers to the beliefs of death, judgement, heaven and hell.
      • The Gospel of John- "Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; whoever lives by believing me will never die." John 11:25-26
      • Christians believe that there will be a judgement day when people will be judged by god of their actions, character and faith.
        • The Parable of the sheep and the goats. Matthew 25:31-46
        • The Parable of Lazarus and the rich man              Luke 16:19-31
        • Christians believe in Heaven and hell. Heaven is thought to be a literal place where Christian believers of God go when they die. It is a place where they can be in the presence of God. However, Hell is the opposite and is for non-believers to be punished and separated from God.
          • Purgatory is a place that Catholic Christians believe people go after they die if they have committed a minor sin but are a believer of God. They are then cleansed of their sins before entering heaven.
      • Resurrection
        • Christians believe that at the end of time, after everyone dies, people will go through a physical resurrection just as Jesus did and at the that point their soul will reunite with their body.
