- SIGNS OF ILLNESS:
- -Raised or lowered temperature
- -Vomiting or nausea
- -Diarrhoea or constipation
- -Swollen glands
- -Joint pains
- -Difficulty breathing
- -A cough, headache, stomach ache, runny nose or earache
- Changed behaviour (crying more than usual or changed sleeping pattern for example)
- ILLNESSES:
- Mumps
- Chicken pox
- Measles
- Rubella
- Whooping cough
- Meningitis
- Tuberculosis
- Caring for a sick child:
- Comfort and cuddle them
- Give them time and attention
- Give them appropriate medicine
- Check their temperature
- Give them lots to drink
- When to seek help:
- Temperature is over 39'C
- Severe cough
- Persistent headache/earache
- Hasn't passed urine in the past 12 hours
