    • Wear eye protection at all times.
      • Do not boil the acid! It can release harmful Sulphur Dioxide gas.
        • Don't add large amounts of Copper Oxide in one go - the solution will boil and bubble over.
          • If you allow the water bath to boil dry, it may cause the beaker to crack.
            • When lifting your hot beaker with tongs, ensure you use these on the rim of the beaker to avoid slipping.
