- Carrying a lot of sediment (BIG rocks)
- High energy
- Highest amount of erosion
- High Force - Major Waterfall
- Reservoir (these are usually along the lower course)
- Middle Course
- Becomes more sinuous
- Not as steep
- On slightly lower ground
- Artificial landscape due to agriculture
- Big floodplain
- Big meanders migrating across floodplain
- Maximum erosion at outside bends (Oxbow lake formed)
- Greater chance of flooding in urban areas - some erosion management
- Lower Course
