- Caring for a sick child
- Take the childs tempreture; if its raised, the parent may give them a liquid paracetamol to reduce tempreture & pain
- Try to encourage the child to drink planty of fluids to avoid dehydration
- Try to keep the child cool and comfortable
- Monitor their tempreture regulary with a thermometer
- Give the child hugs and reassurance
- Notice any changes in their sympoms
- A medical box containing a themometer should be kept in the house, out of reach of a young child
