- after referral from G.P. they will be treated by multidisciplinary team

- a mastectomy

- chemotherapy
- hormone replacement

- tender/painful - may make washing and dressing difficult
- swelling under armpits may make moving the arms uncomfortable

- concentration when working may be hindered

- uninterested in maintaining relationships with friends

- taking time of work leads to reduced income
