        • 1971 had to call emergency Bundestag meeting to introduce anti-inflationary measures

      • In April 1974 Brandt learned one of his closest advisors Gunter Guillaume who handled confidential documents was an E.G. spy & was arrested
      • Brandt resigned in May 1974
