  • Blender
    • Blender is a free, open-source 3D graphics software product. It is used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, interactive 3D applications and many other things. Blender’s features include 3D modelling, texturing, rigging and skinning, fluid and smoke simulation and lots of other features.
    • Tools
      • Blender delivers great looking results for a number of simulations, such as realistic water simulations, billowing smoke and flame interaction, realistic cloth simulations for clothing and environments and rigid body physics which can make objects destructible.
      • Game Creation
        • Included in Blender is a complete game engine, allowing you to create a fully features 3D game right inside Blender. The game engine includes ability to port your models to any third-party game engines, Python scripting API for advanced control and AI and 3D spatial audio using OpenAL.
      • Photorealistic Rendering
        • Blender features a powerful new unbiased rendering engines that offers ultra-realistic rendering. The built in rendering engine offers GPU & CPU rendering. HDR lighting support and permissive license for linking with external software
      • Motion Tracking
        • Blender includes production ready camera and object tracking. This allows you to import raw footage, track the footage, mask areas and see the camera movements live in your 3D scene.
      • Rigging
        • In Blender you are able to turn a model into a poseable character. Blender offers a good set of rigging tools such as, envelope, skeleton and automatic skinning, easy weight painting, mirror functionality, bone layers and coloured groups for organisation.
      • UV Unwrapping
        • Blender allows the user to easily unwrap mesh files directly inside Blender, you can also use image textures or paint your own textures onto the model. This is used for CGI effects in films/games. B;ender allows fast cube, cylinder, sphere and camera projections, multiple UV layers and UV layout image exporting.
