- The Old Testament is used by Christians and Jews
- Christians believe God reveals himself through the Bible
- Some believe the it to be 'God-breathed' and the literal truth
- Others that it was inspired by God but written by people, so is open to interpretation
- The Bible is often used in worship e.g. passages are read and discussed
- Read at funerals and marriage ceremonies
- The difference is that Jews think Jesus was a prophet, not the Messiah
- The Bible tells Christians how God wants them to live
