      • (problems) View current documents of the original system and see how you could make it better
      • (Problems) Create a questionnaire for clients and users to see what is wrong with *** and how they can improve it also with what they would like to be included
      • Input - what you type into the system Process - searching through the system output - what is displayed and where it is displayed
        • FOR EXAMPLE .... A school wants to find the amount of perople in a class: they will search the class (input) the resulkts will be searched for (processing) and the results outputted on screen (output)

      • Verification - This is checking the data agaisnt the orignal
      • Types of verification - Double entry and proof reading
      • Validation - This is checking the data is reasonable and sensible
      • Types of validation
        • Drop down lists - Mrs, Miss. Mr, Master etc
        • Format check - checking taht the info is inthe same format for example a date is dd/mm/yyy
        • Cross Field Check - This is checking that the data is reasonable e.g. cant have gender as male but ***le as Miss
        • Presence check - To vheck field has the box has something written in and has been filled in
