  • Articulation- early phonological errors in pre-word stage
    • Deletion: omitting the final consonant (do[g])
    • Substitution: substituting 1 sound for another- missing sound hard/ impossible for undeveloped placate (fis for fish)
    • addition: adding extra vowel sound (doggie)
    • reduplication: repeating whole syllable (mama)
    • consonant cluster reduction: can be difficult to articulate (pider for spider)
    • delegation of unstressed syllables: (nana for banana)
