    • Analogy of attribution
      • the qualities we ascribe to each other  (wisdom, love, goodness) are reflections of God's attributes
    • Analogy of proportion
      • the type of qualities that something has depends on the nature of the being that possess them
    • Analogy of 'proper' proportion
      • we possess qualities like the qualities of God because we were created in his image but - because we are inferior to God we possess them in a 'lesser' proportion to God
