    • Secondary Precepts are based on the Primary precepts - if it breaks the primary precepts.
    • Aquinas believed that human nature was essentially good 'all that God made was good' When people do evil, it's because they are confused. People never knowingly do evil.
      • Apparent Good - Something that appears to be good but really isn't. This is sinning.
      • Real Good- Something that actually is good
      • NEED to DEVELOP 4 CARDINAL VIRTUES to tell real from apparent
        • Temperance (self control)
        • Fortitude (courage)
        • Prudence (Wisdom)
        • Justice (fairness)
      • NEED to PRAY for THEO. VIRTUES- can't be developed. Tell real from apparent good
        • Faith
        • Hope
        • Charity
    • The conscience is the voice of God within a person helping to decide right from wrong. It needs to be 'informed' or 'trained'
