  • Air Quality
    • Amounts of gases in the air
      • Oxygen:21%
      • Nitrogen: 78%
      • Carbon Dioxide: 0.037
      • Argon: 0.9%
      • Water vapor varies due to wheather and climate
    • Pollutants
      • Greenhouse gases
        • Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas produced by man.
        • Methane (CH4) is another gas that is being produced by man. Landfill sites produce a huge quantity of it. Methane has more potential for trapping heat, around 25x more!
      • Sulpher dioxide (SO2) causes acid rain, which is where rain has such acidic content that it damages trees and animals severly.
    • Natural pollution
      • Volcanoes create a large amount of gases, including CO2 and SO2.
      • Animal digestive systems produce small quantitys of methane. This includes cows.
