      • 100 villages and their surrounding environments were destroyed.
      • Lack of clean water as water infrastructure was destroyed, resulting in bacterial contamination. Rivers became polluted due to poorly built landfill sites nearby.
      • The potential for flooding is high as the country has 2% of forest cover.
      • Pollution in air, soil and water such as cyclonite which may cause cancer.
