  • Action, Reaction and Conservation of Momentum
    • P=M x V
      • Momentum= mass x velocity
    • Momentum is always conserved
      • Given by m1u1=m2u2=(m1+m2)v
    • If two objects moving in the same direction, they may coalesce
    • A balloon will recoil against the air pressure- the more kinetic energy, the faster the air  will be expelled from the balloon

    • In a container, gas particles collide with the container walls. This changes their momentum, creating a force which exerts pressure
